UNVACCINATED PEOPLE CAN ALSO VOTE: SANEEM

The Supervisor of Elections [SoE] Mohammed Saneem has clarified who can vote in the 2022 General Elections.

Mr Saneem said that Fijians who are registered voters will be allowed to vote during the upcoming election, regardless of their vaccination status.

“Whether you are vaccinated or unvaccinated, the Fijian Elections Office will let you come and cast your vote on Election Day. Every person who is a registered voter is entitled to vote come election day,” Mr Saneem said.

Under Section 23 (3) of the Constitution of the Republic of Fiji every citizen who has reached the age of 18 years has the right to be registered as a voter.
